IVG, Reviewed Properly: The Pro 10K and a Nic Salts Range That Built the Brand

    IVG Pro 10K Vape Kit £7.99 | 35 Flavour Pods | Ecigone

Some vape brands arrive from nowhere with a loud device and vanish within a year. IVG is the opposite: a Manchester-born e-liquid house that spent the best part of a decade winning flavour awards before it ever put its name on hardware. That pedigree raises expectations. So when the IVG Pro 10K landed on my desk alongside a stack of their nic salts, the question wasn’t whether the flavours would be good — it was whether the hardware could keep up. After six weeks of daily use, here is where I landed.

    From E-Liquid Royalty to Hardware

IVG — originally “I Vape Great”, a name they have sensibly stopped leaning on — earned its reputation the slow way, mixing e-liquids in the UK and collecting international flavour awards while other brands chased gimmicks. Their Summer Blaze and Bubblegum lines were staples of British vape shops long before big-puff devices existed. That matters, because when an e-liquid house builds hardware, the device exists to serve the liquid rather than the other way round. The Pro 10K is exactly that philosophy in plastic and aluminium: a straightforward, rechargeable pod system designed to showcase flavours they already know how to make.

The Pro 10K: Design and the Pod System

The Pro 10K is a prefilled pod kit in the modern big-puff mould: a compact rechargeable battery section, USB-C on the base, and swappable prefilled pods that click in with a firm, reassuring snap. Across the included pods you are looking at roughly ten thousand puffs — the headline number covers the kit as a whole, not a single pod, which is worth knowing before you buy.

In the hand it is unfussy. No screens, no boost buttons, no airflow dials — just a smooth draw that stays consistent from a pod’s first puff to its last. Some will call that basic; I call it disciplined. The draw is a satisfying restricted direct-lung style that suits the 2ml TPD-compliant pods, and because the battery recharges, you simply keep a couple of ivg pro 10k refills in a drawer and swap as you go. No dead batteries in landfill every two days, no waiting on coils to wick.

Build quality is solid without being showy. The pods seat flush, nothing rattles, and in six weeks I have had zero leaks — which, for prefilled pods, is genuinely the only spec that matters.

    Flavour Highlights

This is where the award cabinet shows. Blue Raspberry Ice is the crowd-pleaser and deserves it: tart, cold and clean rather than syrupy. Summer Blaze — their iconic lemonade-and-fruit profile — translates beautifully to the pod format. Fizzy Cherry has a proper sherbet edge that most competitors fake with sweetener, and the mint options are crisp without stripping your throat.

If I am nit-picking, the dessert profiles are the weakest of the bunch, and IVG’s fruit-forward house style means tobacco purists have only a token option or two. But the hit rate across the range is higher than almost any big-puff brand I have tested.

The Nic Salts Range: Intense vs Classic

Here is the part many reviews skip: IVG’s bottled range is arguably the better buy if you already own a refillable pod kit. The ivg pro salts line — the Intense range — is built for exactly that crowd, with concentrated flavour profiles that hold up in small, low-powered devices where subtler mixes disappear.

The classic ivg nic salts e-liquids sit alongside them in standard 10ml TPD bottles, typically in 10mg and 20mg strengths. Nicotine salts, for anyone still on freebase liquids, deliver nicotine faster and smoother — a 20mg salt feels gentler on the throat than a 6mg freebase at high power, which is precisely why they work for recent switchers from cigarettes. Ex-smokers of twenty a day should start at 20mg; social smokers will find 10mg plenty.

Flavour-wise the bottles mirror the pod range’s strengths: the fruits and ices are exceptional, the menthols are precise, and the sweeter profiles are balanced rather than cloying.

    Value for Money

Prefilled pods will never beat bottles on pence-per-millilitre — that is the tax you pay for zero maintenance. But within the prefilled category, the Pro 10K’s maths are sound: one battery, cheap refill pods, and no repeat hardware purchases. Against a habit of single-use disposables it pays for itself within weeks. The genuinely thrifty route is a refillable kit fed on IVG’s 10ml salts, which cost buttons per day. Either way, you are buying from a brand whose liquids are the product, not an afterthought.

    Verdict

Pros: award-winning flavour range that actually delivers; consistent, leak-free pods; rechargeable USB-C battery with cheap refills; the Intense salts are superb in small devices; strong value across both formats.

Cons: no screen or battery indicator on the device; dessert and tobacco options are thin; prefilled pods lock you into IVG’s flavour list.

IVG’s hardware succeeds because it stays out of the way of what the company does best. If you want a no-drama pod kit with flavours that never miss, the Pro 10K earns a firm recommendation — and if you already own a kit you love, their salts range alone justifies the brand’s reputation.

Vaping products are strictly for adults aged 18 and over and are intended for existing smokers or vapers — never for non-smokers or anyone under 18. Nicotine is addictive. If your goal is quitting nicotine entirely, speak to your GP or a local stop-smoking service.
